What Families Tell Us

Hundreds of 5-star reviews from families across Pennsylvania

Our caregiver learned my mother's routine in a week and now Mom asks what day she's coming back. Knowing someone kind is with her every afternoon gave our whole family room to breathe.

I was already caring for my husband full time. Caring Partners walked me through the application, explained every form, and now I'm paid for the work I was doing anyway.

Dad refused help for two years. The coordinator matched him with someone patient enough to earn his trust, and now they cook lunch together twice a week.
AngelaDaughter of a client — placeholder testimonial
The scheduling flexibility saved us. When my shifts changed, they adjusted coverage the same week without a single lapse in care.

After Mom's dementia diagnosis we felt lost. Our caregiver understood the sundowning, kept the evenings calm, and taught us what to expect next.

They answered the phone on a Sunday and had someone at the house Monday morning. That kind of responsiveness is rare.

I care for my brother and never thought it could be a paid role. The waiver paperwork felt impossible until they sat with me through it.

Our caregiver speaks my mother's first language. Small thing to some people — it changed everything for her comfort at home.

Twenty-four hour coverage after the hospital discharge gave us confidence to bring Dad home instead of into a facility.

As a caregiver on their team, I finally have a scheduler who listens. Steady hours, real support, and clients I look forward to seeing.

Companion visits were meant to be light help around the house. They became the highlight of my aunt's week.

Every question I had about Medicaid was answered in plain English. No pressure, no runaround, just help.

How Our Caregivers Help

Every care plan is different — here's what that support actually looks like day to day.

The Problem Isn't Always Physical

Not every kind of help is physical. A lot of the families who call us aren't worried about bathing or dressing yet — they're worried that Dad is alone from morning to night, eating less, talking to no one, and slowly pulling away from the things he used to enjoy.

A Friendly Face on a Regular Schedule

Companion care is the answer to that. A caregiver comes by on a regular schedule to share a meal, play cards, take a walk, run an errand together, or just talk. It sounds simple. It changes how someone's whole week feels.

What's Included

  • Conversation and company
  • Meal preparation and eating together
  • Walks and light activity
  • Games, hobbies, and reading
  • Errands, grocery runs, and rides to appointments
  • A regular check-in so the family knows how things really are

Often paired with: Personal Care, Alzheimer's & Dementia Care

Who It's For

Companion care fits older adults who are still fairly independent but shouldn't be alone all day, and families who live too far away to check in as often as they'd like. It's also a gentle first step — many families start here and add more help as needs change.

Why Families Choose Caring Partners

We're local, and we answer our own phone. When you call about your loved one's care, you talk to someone who actually knows them, not a call center in another state.

Already Caring for Them Yourself?

If you're the one providing this care, Pennsylvania's Medicaid waiver programs may be able to pay you for it. We handle the paperwork and walk you through every step.
